From time to time, Empower may offer promotional guarantees to customers. These guarantees are structured to demonstrate that drivers earn more working for themselves when they charge riders the suggested rates or higher than they do working for rideshare companies like Uber and Lyft.
Accordingly, only completed rides, in which the fare charged by a customer equaled or exceeded the fare that would have been charged by the customer had the customer been using the applicable Suggested Rate Card at the time of the ride, count towards promotional guarantees.
Additionally, while Empower does not require customers to accept or complete a minimum percentage of ride requests, to qualify for a promotional guarantee, a customer must complete at least 35% of all ride requests received during the promotional guarantee period. Furthermore, guarantees are region specific. Drivers who elect to switch subscriptions or trial regions void themselves of all previous promotional guarantees.
